OSAAT DT CARD - CHALLENGE NO 206 - ANYTHING GOES

Good morning everyone out there in blogland - today the weather here is bloomin' lovely!   The sun is shining brightly but there is a slight chill in the air - just as I like it.  I would be totally happy with this weather all year round, not too hot but very sunny!

Here is my card for the OSAAT challenge this week, I was given this digi and although I could have made an Easter card I spied a little drinkie in his hand and thought I could turn this into a Party Invite!

Challenge 206 is an 'Anything Goes' challenge this week and if you use an image from the Stitchy Bear Outlet you can win 7 images used by the DT.  Don't forget to check out the One Stitch at a Time blog (here), you can see all the cards that were made for this challenge.  I do hope you get some inspiration and join in.
As mentioned earlier,  I saw this as a Fancy Dress party invite and I thought of pink rabbits (loads of 'em on Planet Susie!).  I coloured him in with Flexmarkers and then chose the papers afterwards - something I rarely do nowadays 'cos it takes me ages to find the right combination.  This is a pad I bought some time ago and I really took a fancy to it, I could see it on my cupboard shelf and realised I had all the colours I needed - another one of me light bulb moments ladies!  There are some snippets (yay) of pink card in there as well, both for the wording and also the border.

Ingredients

7" x 7" White Card Blank - Anna Marie Designs
Bunny Break digi image - Stitchy Stamps at Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet
Patterned papers - Colorbok Paper Plus and Fruit Punch
Black card - Stash
Snippets of Pink card - Stash
Asian Accents Border - Spellbinders
Reverse Wonky Rectangles - Spellbinders
Deckled Mega Rectangles (Small - cut into fishtail) - Spellbinders
Flexmarkers
Cotton wool ball for tail - Make-up bag !!!!!

The cotton wool ball was in the bottom of my make-up bag - slightly mucky but I delved into the middle where it was clean!  I used a little Cosmic Shimmer glue, pulled the cotton wool fibres apart and plopped them onto the tail - voila!!!  There were some sticky out bits so I chopped them off with me scissors!

I hope you like this one, a tad bright maybe - but I feel it is right for an invitation to a Fancy Dress Party - not that I have ever been to one!

Thank you for the comments on yesterday's card - I am glad I have made some of you smile - regarding the bicycle seat and the G string, well me eyes are still watering at the thought.  Sue J said she was looking for some pliers to help me out, so not only are they watering they are now out on stalks!

Thank you for stopping by today, please try and enter the Challenge 'cos I love seeing your entries on there.  Enjoy the rest of your day and I will see you later.

Big hugs to you all - still unable to follow any new peeps but am still trying.

CCC(7) - LORRAINE L'S THEME - CUTE CHRISTMAS CARD

Well hello there girls and peeps - here I am with my 'early' card for the CCC.  I always post mine on Saturday 'cos I have to post my OSAAT DT card tomorrow and I hate having to post twice on one day - don't know why either!!!

Anyway the lovely Lorraine L chose this challenge and although she has since left our little band, her challenge lingers on!  She wanted us to make a 'Cute' Christmas card this time and here is my attempt with a lurvely House Mouse stamp.  These are such corkers and are a real pleasure to colour.  Thank you loads Lorraine 'cos I have really enjoyed making this card.

I used loads and loads of Glamour Dust on the Angel Corners and the Card Candi and it really does look more sparkly in daylight.  I made use of my Cricut machine to cut out the sentiment - Deck the Halls - (with boughs of holly ..... tra la la la la la la la la). Keep on singing girls!

Ingredients

7" x 7" White Card Blank - Anna Marie Designs
House Mouse Stamp 'Chin Up' - Stampendous
Picnic Plaid Embossing Folder - Die'Sire Embossalicious
Grand Oval Die (smallest oval) - Spellbinders
Holly leaves - Dee's Distinctively Wreath Builder Die (Won from the Snippet's Playground - yay)
Holly Twigs and Leaves - Spellbinders Die D'Lites
Holly Berries - Joanna Sheen Signature Dies
Angel Corner - Poppy Stamps Die
December 25 Cartridge - Cricut
Copics/ Flexmarkers and Promarkers
Stick n Spray
Decoart Crystal Glamour Dust
Card Candy - Craftwork Cards

That's all folks - for today that is - I am just off to sort Blossom out, she is sitting on a pot of crocus corms (thank goodness they have finished flowering).  Graham fed her to get her off the pot (plant pot not the other sort) and she wolfed it down and promptly returned to her pot in the sun, she is now curled up overhanging the edges.  A little like my bottom on a bicycle seat - whoa don't go there and I daren't tell you what would happen to a G string - if I had one!!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog and for leaving your comments on my last post - so glad you could see how happy we all were.

I hope you like my HM card, he is such a cutie, but he had better watch those prickles!  Please take care and enjoy this spring weather - DON'T FORGET TO PUT YOUR CLOCKS FORWARD TONIGHT!  See you soon girls.

Big hugs to you all

JUST A LITTLE PICCY FROM THE NEC BIRMINGHAM

Good evening peeps - and a very warm welcome to my new followers Mrs A and Ang, I am so pleased that you have joined me on my journey into Blogland!

Mind you I'm not very chuffed with Mr Blogland - don't know who else to blame really - I just can't follow any more of you at the moment as there seems to be an  epidemic of 'the computer says NO' whenever I try to follow anyone.  I am sure it will be fixed soon and I am keeping a list of peeps to follow as soon as it is sorted.

Anyway I am posting a pic of us all at the NEC last Friday - when I say all, the maestro was taking the pic so he's behind the lens.  Look at all that lurvely purple!!!

I have posted this as X-Large, I do hope it isn't too much for you to cope with.  Funnily enough I was on the end and Sue J said "come on Sue, stand here next to me" - I am such a trusting little soul - why didn't I stand on the back row???  This pic has made me giggle all over again, oh and in case you don't know (from left to right) there's Paul (Sue J's hubby), Christine (christinescardsandcrafts.blogspot.co.uk), Sue J (olliesmam.blogspot.co.uk), me and Ang -aka Mrs Duck (theducksdoodahs.blogspot.com)  We bought so much between us that we were getting special deals - not bad at all and we had a right laugh or titter (Mrs Duck) that I was aching like mad.  Well worth it though.

That's it for now, I shall be back later this week (hopefully) to post a little something else.

Big hugs to you all

OSAAT DT CARD - CHALLENGE NO 204 - USE A DIGI

Good morning friends and bloggers out there - and a HUUUUGE apology for not saying hello to my new follower, Samara, yesterday.  Thank you so much for following my blog, you are most welcome to join the merry throng.

Well today I am posting a card for the OSAAT DT.  The challenge over there for this week is USE A DIGI - can it get much easier!  I do hope that you can join in with us. To win the main prize of 7 digis you must use an image from the Stitchy Bear Outlet.  Please pop over to the blog here to check out the rest of the information!!!

I chose the image from Ike's Art because I loved the look of the cuckoo clock.  I think this card can be used for a man or a woman even though there are some flowers - well they are browny green in colour!!!  Let me know what you think won't you.

I am getting much better with decorating the insides of my cards at the same time, last year I kept leaving them blank then rushing around like a bluebottle (is anybody thinking of the Goon Show now - no?  well I am a tad old) to finish them off before they had to be posted!

Ingredients

7" x 7" white card - Anna Marie Designs
Cuckoo Clock digi - Ike's Art from Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet
Foiled Paper - Kanban
Brown Card/Paper - Create and Craft
Gold card - bits and bobs (sorry Snippets) box
Corner punch - Carla Craft
Pierced Circle Stax die - Die-Namics
Fishtail Flags Layer Stax dies - Die-Namics
Little Leaf die set - Spellbinders Shapeabilities
Flowers - Forever Flowers
Card Candi - Craftwork Cards
Glossy Accents - Ranger

I shall pop this card into my 'basket' for use at some time in the future (lots of ex colleagues retiring this year).  I had my first request this week from one of my usual ex-colleagues for ...... yup Christmas cards, apparently he is going to make a list for loads of them plus birthday cards!  Well that's me havin' a panic already!

Oh well must be off now - I hope you have time to leave a comment again - two days' running!    Thank you for stopping by and having a quick look.  Take care of yourselves and I wish you some happy crafting - especially if hubby is watching sport on the TV!!!  Don't forget to join in over at the OSAAT challenge this week.

By the way, I am still singing the 'Ying Tong' song in my head - oh bother!!!!

Big hugs to you all

CCC(6) - CHRISTINE'S THEME - LET'S SEE SOME WINGS!

Good afternoon peeps, thank you first of all for all the comments on Thomas' birthday card - they really were amazing and my card seemed to be a hit with you.  I am beginning to find male cards much easier now, thank  goodness, and the fact that you all seem to like them is a total bonus!!

Anyway onto today, this is my early CCC post and this fortnight my blog friend Christine chose the theme for us.  She wants to see wings on our Christmas cards but doesn't mind whether they are angels, fairies or birds.  I bought this Art Pad Set 16 from LOTV a short while ago and it is so pretty that I decided to use this lovely little pre-coloured angel on my card.  My favourite thing is to colour my images myself,  but this was toooo cute to ignore.

I chose the LOTV Winter Wishes paper pad and then loads of dies.  I used bits and bobs of white 'linen finish' card for the diecuts and sprayed them with Crafters' Companion Iridescent Spray and Sparkle.  You can't see it in the pic but irl it looks quite good - even though I do say so meself.

I have started the inside of the card with the plaid paper plus a blue central square piece.  I will add a verse/greeting later on.

Ingredients

7" x 7" White card blank - Anna Marie Designs (these are a fabulous quality)
Coloured image - LOTV Art Pad - Set 16 - Christmas Angels (New)
Plaid paper - LOTV Winter Wishes
Blue Card - American Textured Cardstock (12" x 12")
Embossing Folder - Die'sire Splendour
Pierced Square Stax die - Die-namics
Frosty Border die - Memory Box
Tilth Floral die - Memory Box
Poinsettia die - All Occasions
Snowflakes die - I.O.  (Die100-F)
Small Star die - Lea'bilities Pine Tree set
Snowflake plate die - Cheery Lynn (C146)
Christmas Blessings die - Tattered Lace Sentiments
Iridescent Spray and Sparkle - Crafters' Companion
Gem stones/Seed beads - Stash

This has been another great challenge on the CCC and I have really enjoyed making my card so 'thank you Christine'.  I should put the girls' blog links down the side of my blog - will sort this out when I get a round tuit!!!

Thank you for checking out my work, I do hope to hear from you again soon.  Thank you also for any comments you may have left for me to read - it is so nice to see them.  We are having a very sunny day here so I hope you are having the same wherever you are.  Take care of yourselves - catch up with you again soon.

Lots of big hugs to you all

BIRTHDAY CARD FOR THOMAS

Good morning peeps and blogsters, thank you all for stopping by and checking out my blog.  Your comments are most welcome, I love reading them all.  I sometimes find comments from peeps who are not followers, nor are they part of challenge DT's, they have just found me and have left a word or two - that is wonderful and I will visit you in return to see what you are up to.  So once again, thanks to you all.

Anyway - to stop any further waffling and digressing (please don't hold me to that), I would like to show you the card I made for Thomas' 14th birthday.  Thomas and Katie are the children of my next door neighbour and I have always made them cards.  Mind you it's getting more and more difficult to think of something for Thomas now that he is growing up.

This year I came up with this one, I had bought the image from Mo Manning's Digital Pencil last year (thinking ahead for once - yay!!) and I am quite pleased with the result.

I left the left-hand side free to write a little note/greeting for him.

Catherine has kept all of the cards I have made for the kids over the years, and she told me that he loved this one so I am well pleased!!

Ingredients

Paul Texting Digi - Mo Manning's Digital Pencil
7"x7" White card blank - Anna-Marie Designs
Satin Silver and Black card - Snippets from stash
Patterned paper - free with Magazine
Brown and Green Card - Core'dinations
Bricked (& Woodgrain) Emb. Folder - Sizzix
Chicken Wire Frame - Cheery Lynn Dies
Virtuoso Music - Memory Box Dies
Photo corners - Die-Namics
Flexmarkers

Well I shall leave you alone now, oooh apart from telling you that Blossom has been exercising (well she needs it and I don't want anyone thinking 'kettle, pot' lol) and it seems to be doing her good.  She is out a lot more now that we are only having intermittent rain (for the mo) and she was standing on the lower branches of the lilac bush.  This means she has either hauled herself up on her tippy toes or jumped - now this in itself would use up 500 calories I am sure!!!!!  I feel certain she was watching the bird table - not for birds you understand, but for bird food!!!   She had neither!!!  Anyway here she is with her 'food' face on -

Sorry to you all for going on about her again but her husband keeps on at her growing waistline so I am doing my best for her. LOL!

Thank you all for checking out my blog, I do hope you pop back again soon.   If you are unwell, please take care of yourselves and if you are fighting fit, stay that way!!!

Big hugs to you all

OSAAT DT CARD - CHALLENGE NO 202 - ANYTHING GOES

Good morning fellow bloggers and friends out there - yes it is me again - my third post this week and....... there's another card to post next week!   I had a couple of cards to make (one for the DT and one for the CCC) then I had a couple of birthday cards to make and - nearly forgot - a Get Well card.  Talk about all hands on deck, I seriously am in awe of those of you who have 2 or 3 DT cards to make a week and also those of you who post every day - I don't know how you do it, you are all marvels!

Well here is my DT card for the One Stitch at a Time Challenge blog.  This one even makes me smile because it looks like Blossom and her husband Donny (when she was a Dirty Gerty - prior to her BIG op).  Mind you she has put on some weight since then and we have had to put her on a diet - bless her.

Addition to my post:  If you can take a close-up look at the bottom left curve of the card .... do you see it??   There is a Greenfly toddling about - perhaps he likes the look of the flowers - he's definitely not dead!!!
The two 'star' shaped flower heads are, in fact, not black but dark green and the little 'berry' type things were white but I coloured them green with my Flexmarkers.  They look much greener in real life - honest!
I have popped a picture of the inside on here because I love this Cheery Lynn die, it really is glorious and looks so much like bobbin lace (Torchon style).
In case you are wondering (as if) I have left the centre clear so that I can put a sentiment/verse in there.  I've also left the bottom right-hand corner clear for a handwritten greeting.

Now I thought I would show you the real Blossom and Donny taken yesterday as they sat in the sunshine.   Donny is sitting on the little 'walkway' from the outside sheds to the greenhouse - Graham had to put this here to stop them jumping over onto the glass and going through - yikes!!!

Anyway enough of the fur babies - the Challenge is Anything Goes and the prize is a pack of 7 images from the Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet.  You really should pop over to see what my Teamies have created and then enter the challenge, the rest of the (very few) rules and information can be found there.
So why not give it a go, you've nothing to lose!

Ingredients
7" x 7" White Card Blank - Anna Marie Designs
2 Kittens image - Barbara Jensen @ Stitchy Bear Outlet
Circle Die - Tonic
Frond Finesse Die set - Tonic
English Tea Party Doily Die - Cheery Lynn
Label Tag Die - Joy
Rounded Corner Edge Scissors - Fiskars
Grey Card - DCWV Christmas Cardstock Stack
Light Orange Card - Core'dinations
Summer Breeze Paper Pad - First Edition
Snippets of green card for the fronds
Flexmarkers
Flowers - WOC and The Hobby House
Pearls/Gems - The Hobby House
Spiced Marmalade DI

That's my OSAAT card complete for this week, I hope you like the 'homage' to Blossom and Donny - I often caught her in similar poses before she became 'lusty-less'!!!  What I like is that Donny still seems to love her even though it's unrequited!!!  Bless!

Thank you for checking out my blog and also for your comments, they are lovely to read.  Once again I do understand if you can't leave me a comment, it's still nice for me to have you popping over!

Big hugs to you all and please take care.

CCC (5) - MARGARET'S THEME - FEATURE A ROBIN

Morning everyone - I hope you are all keeping reasonably well (considering the weather).  I feel better now that the daffodils are out together with the crocuses and the snowdrops!  The tulips will be next of course - so here I am waffling on about flowers instead of posting my card but they are a cheery sight!

Sooooo onto the card, this is one for the CCC (Christmas Card Club) and the theme is 'Feature a Robin' - or two as in my case!!  The wonderful Margaret chose this one for us - nice one!  I love this digi, it's been in my folder for a while and I don't know where it is from so apologies.

As you can tell, apart from the image which I coloured with Copics and Promarkers, I have just used loads and loads of die cuts made from snippets of white paper.  Having thought about it, I should have designed this as an aperture card with the image on the inside - isn't hindsight a wonderful thing!  Anyway I made sure I used a good old sprinkling of Stardust Stickles plus a few pearls (can't do blobs properly yet Mrs J)!

Ingredients
7" x 7" White Card Blank - Anna Marie Designs
Red card - Bazzill Basics
Small Garden Sprig - Poppy's Stamps Die
Ivy Corner - Joanna Sheen Signature Dies
Holly Berries - Joanna Sheen Signature Dies
Merry Christmas - Cheery Lynn Dies
Frostyville Wreath - Memory Box Dies
Star of Wonder - Memory Box Dies
Leaves - Tattered Lace Dies
Poinsettia - All Occasions Dies
Wreath Builder - Dee's Distinctively Dies
Snowflake - Impression Obsession Dies
Fern Frond - Leone Em Punch
Flowers - Nellie Snellen Small/Medium Punches
Copics/Promarkers
Stormy Sky, Faded Jeans and Dusty Concord DI
Pearls/Ribbon - Stash
Stardust Stickles
Decoart - Glamour Dust

I masked over the robins and then, using three Distress Inks, I 'pounced' a piece of natural sponge over the picture to make the night sky.  I love doing this, it really is satisfying (well I am weird)!

Let me know what you think of my white on white card with a big splash of colour won't you.  Thank you for stopping by and checking out my blog, I really really do appreciate your visit.

Loads of big hugs to you all
